Matthew Jones is the in-house photographer for VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville’s arena for touring shows, and shoots the stadium concerts that come through EverBank Stadium. The galleries on this site are the nights themselves: Nicki Minaj with the whole arena lit pink, Jelly Roll on the runway with the pyro going, Gucci Mane and Shaboozey from below the stage lip, Luke Combs playing the stadium in a Jaguars cap.
The work is shot for the venue, the promoter or the artist’s team — wide frames that show the room and the production, tight frames from the pit, and the crowd shots venues use for the next announcement.
